                                                                                                                                                                --- Bernie

I get lots of people who are interested in how my "River Stick" actually works and how I designed it. Some people have decided to come up with their own version of the "River Stick", but after doing extensive research of my own, I successfully designed my "River Stick" with the flaws of others in mind. If you're skeptical about my "River Stick" or want some clarification on how things work, please don't hesistate to reach out to me. I love helping my customer's and making sure they have everything they need to get started.

Q: How long is the pole?

A: The pole is 8 ft. long.

Q: Is it a hollow pole or a solid pole?

A: The pole is solid, made of durable fiberglass.

Q: How is it powered?

A: The River Stick is not powered. There is no battery and no electric. It is all manually operated by the use of a pulley system

Q: How heavy is the River Stick?

A: The River Stick weighs approximately 6 lbs.

Q: How long does it take to install?

A: That all depends on the kayak. If your kayak is already power pole ready, you can install the River Stick within a matter of minutes. If not, it may take a little longer to properly install the River Stick.

Q: How long does it take to ship?

A: I ship all orders through UPS. All orders shipped in the U.S. usually arrive within 3-4 business days. Shipments outside the U.S. are special orders and pricing may vary.

Q: Does it work in salt water?

A: Yes, the River Stick will work in Salt Water conditions.

Q: How does the pole help anchor the kayak to the bottom?

A: The pole itself weights 2.8lbs and it self deploys with it's own weight. With the added stainless steel tip on the end of the pole, it will help securely anchor you to the bottom.

Q: Does it work in swift current?

A: Yes, the River Stick will work in swift current as long as you slow the kayak down before lowering the stick.

Q: What is the plate made out of?

A: The plate is half inch starboard and is bolted down with stainless steel bolts.

Q: What all comes with the River Stick when I buy it?

A: When you buy the River Stick, you get the River Stick Box, Fiberglass Pole, and hardware is included.
